Dolphin Royal Swim in Cozumel

Chankanaab National Marine Park offers the ideal setting for your dolphin experience in Cozumel. Alongside beautiful beaches, snorkeling, diving, and on-site restaurants, the highlight of your visit is the unforgettable Dolphin Royal Swim.

Your session begins with a short orientation led by a professional instructor, where you'll learn about dolphin anatomy, behavior, and training. You'll then step onto a submerged platform where your interaction begins.

With two dolphins, you'll enjoy a variety of close-up interactions from the platform. These may include a kiss, a handshake, a heart touch, and the dolphin's signature smile, offering a fun and memorable connection during your time in the water.

In the deeper water, the dolphins will swim alongside you, splash, sing, and respond to a hand target. You'll also experience a dorsal swim-by, giving you the chance to see their movement and agility up close.

The experience lasts approximately one hour, with 45 minutes of in-water time. Group size is limited to 10 guests to ensure a more personal and engaging encounter.

As part of your visit, you'll also enjoy a 10-minute interaction with a manatee. This calm and gentle experience gives you the opportunity to observe and learn about these fascinating marine mammals up close.

Please Note: As of July 16, Mexico has amended its General Wildlife Law, which places new restrictions on certain types of dolphin interactions. Beginning September 16, the Dolphin Royal Swim at Chankanaab will follow an updated format. On the platform, guests will take part in an educational briefing on dolphin anatomy and habits, including their senses of smell and taste, along with activities such as Dolphin Embrace, Dolphin Sight, and Heart to Heart. In the water, guests will swim away from the platform one by one for individual interactions, where the dolphins may perform Sounds (singing), Splash, and Hand Target. The program lasts approximately 60 minutes, with a maximum of 10 guests per platform and two dolphins. Admission to Chankanaab National Marine Park is included, along with a 10-minute manatee interaction, 10-minute sea lion show, pool access, buffet lunch, open bar, and access to the VIP restaurant.

Park admission is included in your dolphin tour. Guests in your party who will not be participating in the dolphin activity, including children under 8 years old who are unable to take part, should book the Dolphin Swim Adventure at Chankanaab tour to enter the park.

Guests may arrive at any time and enjoy the park's facilities, including the beach, swimming areas, and other attractions. Your dolphin swim begins at the time printed on your ticket. Transportation to and from the park is not included, so you are free to arrive and depart at your convenience.
